Big Update for Studio 2.0 – 2026-03-10

Big Update for Stegra.io Studio 2.0

We are really happy to present several significant new features in Studio 2.0, many of which are also included in the next app update for both iOS and Android.

Watch the Breakdown: For a more detailed go-through of the new features, check out our latest YouTube video!

New Route Mode Options

New Adventure Mode
Newly refined Route Modes
  • Algorithm & Options Upgrades: The overall routing algorithms have been heavily refined for both Curvy Tarmac and Adventure Mode. Together with new route sliders that go from level 1 to 10 and the ability to include or exclude tracks based on track grades, they now offer maximum flexibility and precision.
  • Curvy Tarmac Mode: Now includes a Curviness slider, allowing you to control the amount of curved roads on your route or segment.
  • Adventure Mode: You can now use an Unpaved slider to adjust the proportion of unpaved roads. We also added a Curviness slider for this mode, letting you choose whether the paved connecting sections should prioritize curves, the fastest path, or somewhere in between.
  • Track Grade Filters: Within Adventure Mode, you can now selectively include or exclude tracks based on their grade. Choose any combination of track grades to fit your specific riding preferences.
  • UK Byways: When planning in the UK, you can now force routing at the segment level to allow only tracks designated as Byways (BOATs). The option to filter track grades is also applicable when using this feature.

Route Management Tools

  • Merge Tool: You can now merge routes together using specific logical connecting points. You have the option to reverse both the source and destination routes and apply any route mode to the connecting segments. A real-time visual preview line updates automatically as you adjust parameters, and the merged route is saved as a new route, leaving your originals intact.
  • Split Route: Divide a route at any chosen point. The second part automatically receives the original route name with a “(2)” appended to it. Note: The original route file is not kept after a split; create a duplicate first if you wish to preserve it.
  • Lock Parts of Route: Lock parts of your route by attaching Viapoints on the routeline. This adds a fixed point that prevents changes from affecting the other side of the point. Use two points to lock a specific part and adjust the section in between.

Maps & Visual Settings

  • New “Rust” Map: A highly detailed map layer featuring warm, earth tones inspired by vintage Western maps. It is designed for visual comfort while still offering a great level of detail and to inspire to more great rides. Rust available in both Bright and Dark modes.
  • Route Line Options: In Settings, you can now choose between solid or outlined route lines.

  • Performance Improvements: We have implemented major performance and speed optimizations across all features and functions.

Upcoming Mobile App Update

The majority of these features—including route mode options, force byways, maps, route line options and a lot more will be included in the upcoming update for both iOS and Android. This will be our largest app update to date, featuring many requested as well as brand new features and improvements.
